Clinical Hypnotherapist
Robin Popowich, Clinical Hypnotherapist | Attachment-Informed Trauma Specialist | International Speaker & Educator | Author
Hello there,
My work as a full-time Clinical Hypnotherapist for more than a decade has afforded me the opportunity to refine, test, and clearly define the techniques I now teach to hypnotherapists internationally. Years of education and sustained clinical practice allowed me to move beyond theory and into the nuanced realities of trauma work, where precision, emotional attunement, and ethical client connection matter deeply.
I specialized for many years in childhood and relational trauma, working extensively with clients presenting attachment injuries, developmental trauma, and complex emotional patterns. Through this work, I developed practical, trauma-informed methods to support attachment repair, emotional regulation, and identity integration, particularly for clients whose early relationships shaped persistent patterns of fear, avoidance, or self-protection.
My approach integrates attachment theory, nervous system recovery, belief repatterning, and subconscious reprogramming within a framework designed for complex trauma recovery. Interventions are applied with care and intention, prioritizing nervous system regulation, psychological safety, and integration rather than emotional activation.
Over the course of my clinical career, I have helped thousands of clients heal attachment wounds and shift entrenched relational patterns, often in cases where insight-based or scripted approaches were insufficient. This clinical depth is the foundation of my teaching.
Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that effective hypnotherapy cannot be reduced to scripts, formulas, or rigid protocols. I teach hypnotherapy or hypnosis practitioners to develop clinical discernment, nervous-system awareness, and the ability to respond in real time to what is unfolding in the client’s internal experience. Education, in my view, should build confidence through understanding and practice, not imitation.
I emphasize the neuroscience behind trauma, attachment, and subconscious learning, so practitioners understand why interventions work and how to adapt them ethically across diverse client presentations. My goal is to help hypnotherapists think like clinicians: to assess readiness, pace interventions appropriately, and work within scope while maintaining depth and flexibility.
Today, I teach these refined methods to hypnotherapists seeking advanced, clinically grounded training. In addition to my faculty work with the Academy of Clinical Hypnotherapy I regularly teach and present at conferences internationally, contributing to the advancement of trauma-informed, attachment-based practice within modern hypnotherapy.
My professional focus is on equipping practitioners with modern approaches that are ethically sound, clinically effective, and grounded in evidence-based theory so they can work with complex trauma confidently, safely, and with lasting impact.

I am also deeply passionate about empowering people through education, helping them understand their minds, their subconscious patterns, and their capacity for meaningful change. Whenever possible, I offer engaging, accessible talks to groups with shared interests, whether focused on mental wellness, personal development, professional growth, or community support.
My presentations translate complex neuroscience, attachment theory, and trauma-informed principles into language that is practical, empowering, and immediately applicable.
Audiences consistently leave with a clearer understanding of their own nervous systems, relational patterns, and capacity for resilience, along with tools they can immediately integrate into daily life.
These talks are designed to inform, inspire, and create meaningful shifts, making them well suited for organizations and groups seeking a engaging and entertaining speaker who can deliver depth, credibility, and relevance.
Hypnotherapy tends to capture attention, and my experience presenting on the topic has consistently drawn enthusiastic, well-attended audiences.
